The numbers: 26 hours door-to-door, 4 movies, 3 meals, 0
lost bags, numerous cat-naps and 3 longer sleeping sessions, and 1 empty seat
between us (priceless!).

As you can see, the flight was due south, and after quick stop
in Santiago, Chile,
we took one last flight over the Andes to BA .

Although our flight from Toronto needed to de-ice because
of the low temperatures, we arrived in BA to a lovely blue-sky day and a
temperature of 30 degrees, and after customs and immigration, we went through
the arrivals hall to see all the hallmarks of home – Hertz, Avis and Alamo car
rentals, HSBC bank machines, and, of course… McDonald’s
